A Download SAVE Dialog
will open. Click [SAVE]...
If you are given an
[OPEN] or [RUN] option -
either of these would be
easier. Use [Open] or
[Run] and skip to
Step 6 - Installation will
automatically begin, and
skip Step 7 altogether.
3.
A standard Save
As Dialog will
open.
In the Save In
Selector, select
your DESKTOP.
Keep the
suggested
Program Name.
Click [SAVE].
4.
A file will be downloaded to your computer.
When the download completes...
CLOSE ALL PROGRAMS. It is strongly suggested that you temporarily turn off your
anti-viral and firewall programs as well - this is customary during program
installations.
Locate the downloaded program on your Desktop and DOUBLE CLICK on it.
Program installation will begin. Follow the prompts of the install process.
5.
7.
Download Icon/Program - DELETE
Program Icon - KEEP
When installation completes...
It is suggested that you delete the Download program from your Desktop - it
does not get used after the install, and is just taking up space.
NOTE: You will have 2 icons on your Desktop - 1 for the download/install
program, and 1 for the actual program itself. Keep the program icon - it will have
the name of the program. Delete the download icon - it will have the name of the
download file.
During the typical installation of a
LegalSync program, you will be asked to
agree to Licensing Terms and Conditions.
You will then be prompted for your License
- Serial Number, which should have been
previously provided to you.
Program Installation will not continue if you
do not enter a valid License - Serial
number.
During the installation you will be
asked to specify your Network
(Sharing) location.
There are 3 options:
- No Network - I don't intend to
share
- I connect to the Server via a
Drive
- I am the Server and others
connect to this folder on my
computer
Specify how you will or will not share
data and documents produced with
the program.
During the installation you will be
prompted to enter Your Information.
This is used as program registration,
and is also used by the program
when forms that you produce request
or require your information.
This is not a SPAM or PHISHING tool.
Your information is kept in
confidence. The only times the
program exchanges this information
is when it is posted in forms you
produce - so you are well aware
when it is being used - and when the
program is registered with LegalSync.
LegalSync has a strict policy, and does not share, sell, or otherwise give out this information.
If you are installing on multiple computers, and you specify the same Network Share location specified above, you will not be prompted for Your Information on subsequent installs, as that has already been provided.
Continue with the installation, which generally concludes with a prompt for you to reboot your computer.
|
NOTE: If during the installation you receive an ERROR MESSAGE stating a BAD CRC - this means that the initial download was corrupted during transmission - go back to step 1 and re-download the install file. It may help if you close any programs that might be using the Internet, or wait for a time when there is less Internet use in your office.
|
You may receive a Security Warning about downloading files.
CLICK [SAVE] or [RUN] if such a dialog appears.
You know who the publisher is - this is a standard warning mechanism.

About License Numbers:
- License Numbers are CaSe Sensitive.
- License Numbers are grouped with hyphens (-) - Include the hyphens when you
enter your License Number.
- License Numbers follow this pattern: If there is a LETTER in the group, then all
characters in that group are letters. If there is a DIGIT in the group, then all
characters in that group are DIGITS. This will help you to identify Zeros from O's, or
I's from 1's.
- Use the same License Number for all installations in your site of business.
6.
You will be prompted for your USER ID and PASSWORD. Remember, ID's and Passwords are CaSe Sensitive. NOTE: ID's are usually all LETTERS. PW's are usually 2 letters followed by DIGITS. This helps you to identify Zero's from O's.
